James at Wedgeworth Plumbing arrived on time -- actually they called because he was done earlier at his previous job to okay an early arrival. He was informative, efficient and thorough. He replaced my toilet, shower head, tub faucet and my kitchen sink tap unit. He additionally unclogged the taps in my bathroom and kitchen sink as an added bonus restoring my water pressure. He was very courteous and conscientious in his demeanor and work ethic. I feel like my house is much more functional and now enjoy washing dishes (more than not).read more

Best service and pricing in town!!James with Wedgeworth Pluming came out to help us with a main drain clog. I had another company come out the day before and he stated that the clog was in the city line. We contacted the city they said there was no clog in their drains. A friend referred me to Wedgeworth Plumbing and I'm so glad they did. James was on time, very courteous and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions and unclogged the main drain. Great experience for the second time! Damondrick and TJ did a great job fixing our issue in our master bathroom sink (that the AC unit condenses into?) It's the second time we have the issue, basically because we should have followed the instructions to put bleach with hot water down the drain monthly. They were nice and provided us some laughter, too. Would highly recommend this company!read more

There were a few hiccups along the way, some of my tubing and other components were so old they fell apart and needed to be replaced. I have been using Wedgeworth Plumbing for 7 years now. Still batting 1000. It was nice to have a simple repair, with a simple solution for a simple price. My other past services were emergencies and they came out in less than an hour on one of them. They have repaired my water heater and it still going 5 years after repair. They have changed out some sort of "plug" in 2 of our showers to stop the heads from dripping and so my point is they are very broad in terms of available skill sets and services. Before calling Wedgeworth Plumbing, I had two other plumbers tell me that clearing my slow-drain tub would require costly work. Specifically, I was told I would need to install a clean-out access, which would take 2 or 3 days. Wedgeworth sent 2 plumbers, who recommended taking a simpler approach, after explaining the pros and cons. They worked on running a line to clear the blockage and within half an hour had cleared the drain. Their bill matched the estimate I was given before they started the work and was very reasonable. Also, they were very professional, arrived on time, and sent appointment reminders. I will highly recommend them to every family member or friend that needs a plumber!read more

I'd had an exterior faucet and intake pipe and valve on my studio workshop had been damaged and had to be replaced. TJ and his associate were wonderful! I was impressed with their knowledge and professionalism and that they took the time to explain what they needed to do before they started. While they did have to turn off the water to my house, they first installed a new shutoff valve to my studio building and had the water to my house back on faster than I'd expected! Instead of removing my siding, they removed my interior pedestal sink to access the area very carefully cutting out the sections of drywall. When they were done I was able to set the pieces back in tape and float the area with minimal work. Once it was dry they bolted and caulked my sink in place and cleaned everything up inside as well as insulated and taped the exterior pipes. I was also extremely impressed with their attention to detail as well as how personable they were, answering any questions I had. I would not hesitate to call on Wedgeworth again for any plumbing needs or to recommend them to anyone looking for a top company to take care of any plumbing issues at a great price!read more

James came out on Monday and gave a free estimate to replace a cartridge for the bathtub. He came back early Tuesday morning to fix it and also service our tankless hot water heater. I have been using Wedgeworth for years - before it was sold to the current owner. It doesn’t feel as personal as it used to with Mr. Wedgeworth but that is ok. They came out for a faucet repair and they were able to get out here quickly and fix the problem which I really appreciated. My only issue is the receipt did not have a good breakdown of the costs. Just one big number. I would like to know parts and labor costs as well as how much they charged me for taking away the ice maker that caused my problem. All in all, i received good polite service. **See Update** The personnel were on-time, polite and left the area clean after installing a new wax ring; however, after they left, the tank ran constantly and I waited a week for someone to come complete the adjustment and was charged for the follow-up. Also, I asked for a callback from the second visit to explain the charges and was never contacted. I have had several good experiences with the company, but this one was frustrating.***Update*** A person from the company followed up a week or so later. They called to apologize that the call had not been returned at the time and explained the work that was done. They also provided a partial refund. My husband and I used Wedgeworth plumbing for a complete Pex installation and hot water heater installation. We were very happy when they made room for us on a Friday afternoon when our hot water heater went out. It was from that point we decided to get a quote for re-piping the house and getting rid of the galvanized pipe. The company as a whole from top to bottom did fantastic. They took the time to lay out the scope of work. Their attention to detail was awesome. I personally appreciated the clean up they did all the way down to vacuuming underneath the sinks. I had a plumber come out to my property to fix what looked to be a simple leak. Upon starting the job the he realized the problem was bigger than originally anticipated but he pulled out all the stops to get the job done. Erica scheduled my appointment the same day I called. She also called me 20 minutes before the crew was to arrive at my house which was very helpful. Shawn and Austin were professional, courteous, knowledgeable, tidy, and efficient. They changed out my two gas hot water heaters. One was really corroded and they had to use 4 different methods to fully drain it out because there was so much build up clogging the drainage valve. I found this company through Moen’s website since we need to install a water shut off valve. I contacted 3 different companies and this is the one company that called immediately. Shawn and Mitchell (I think his name was Mitchell) came out to talk about the work with FloMoen’s shut off valve installation also giving estimates and also, kindly helped us with a lot of other things. They are very knowledgeable. We scheduled with Shawn and he came out to finish the work on a hot summer’s day, efficiently and all things are operational. So now, if the system detects a leakage then I can send a signal to turn off my main water by the FloMoen application! Not only this, he went above and beyond and looked at our sprinkler system and hose with cracks in it so in due time, we will contact for fixture. Thanks Shawn!! Nothing’s more frustrating than not being able to use your washing machine and sink because of a clog in your old home’s plumbing. I called Wedgeworth Plumbing around 3 pm on a Thursday, and they scheduled a plumber, TJ, for the next morning. His first try with the snake helped clear the sink, but the washing machine was still overflowing. Instead of giving up, TJ stayed an extra two hours to get everything working. I even found out you can snake the line from the roof—who knew? TJ was great about explaining what updates we should consider without pushing anything. I’ll think about those for the future, but for now, I’m just happy to have a working sink and washer again!read more

Quite an unusual experience from a consumer home services provider.The gents who came out to my house were prompt, knowledgeable, and courteous. Definitely good things, but these things should be table stakes for service providers. (I recognize that it is not, unfortunately.) Three things made these guys stand out.1) They took the time to listen and explain their rationale for their *recommendations* and *options* without pressure. Many plumbers take advantage of the fact that the consumer is usually stressed and emotionally compromised if things have gotten bad enough that they have to call for professional help. Even though my situation was not a plumbing emergency, I still felt that these guys were being deliberate about avoiding pressure. They're attitude was more like "let's find the best solutions for *you*" than "how can I maximize this month's sales bonus."2) They were more problem-solvers than repairmen. Rather than just propose "it'll be best if we just replace everything" (which is usually more profitable for them, especially when selling you items with egregious markups), these guys were willing to try different things to get to a satisfying outcome with the least amount of cost and risk. That takes a bit more thinking and creativity than manual labor. But the approach can save the customer money, and may even open them to spending more on other things because they've discovered new opportunities to add value. It may also mean that the customer spends less, but these guys seemed to be more concerned about maximizing value than maximizing sales.3) Flat-rate pricing. I don't imagine that they use flat-rate pricing for all situations, but they seem to use flat-rate pricing for many more common plumbing issues. This is great because you get a price (not an estimate) up front.I wish more folks ran their businesses like these guys. The high rating is well-deserved.read more

James at Wedgeworth Plumbing arrived on time -- actually they called because he was done earlier at his previous job to okay an early arrival. He was informative, efficient and thorough. He replaced my toilet, shower head, tub faucet and my kitchen sink tap unit. He additionally unclogged the taps in my bathroom and kitchen sink as an added bonus restoring my water pressure. He was very courteous and conscientious in his demeanor and work ethic. I feel like my house is much more functional and now enjoy washing dishes (more than not).

Called to get an estimate to have a system installed for a half-bath, this company is listed as "preferred installer" with the vendor of the system, woman who answered the phone stated they had an appointment available within a day. I explained what my availability was based upon my work schedule and was given a slot time of 10AM-12Noon, basic 2 hour window of arrival. I made arrangements to take the morning off from work for this appointment. The day of the appointment comes and 11:30 rolls around, no sign of anyone showing up, 11:45 same thing, I waited until approx 12:15 and called them. Same lady answered the phone that set up the appointment, I asked why their person did not show up. She asks for my address and tells me the person who was supposed to come is THE OWNER, Sean, she then says he got called out to a prior call that was an emergency, and he would "get to me as soon as he was done", I inquired how long it be, she says she will call him to find out and contact me right back. It is now an hour later, NO ONE has bothered to contact me back. Now, I am not an unreasonable person, I understand that things do happen but when you set an appointment in advance with someone they should take priority. Additionally, how hard would it have been to call, text, or email to let a waiting customer with a previously set appointment know that there was an issue? NONE of those things happened, NO ATTEMPT at communication was even initiated. If a business cannot be relied upon to provide basic communication before a job even begins, what exactly is the quality of the level of effort when actual work is performed? My experience with this business is that they were very inconsiderate of my time, as though it was worthless, and even when given the opportunity to "make it right", NOTHING was even attempted. I am grateful that I found out about their "reliability" before any actual work was in progress.

I had another company come out the day before and he stated that the clog was in the city line. We contacted the city they said there was no clog in their drains. Great experience for the second time! Damondrick and TJ did a great job fixing our issue in our master bathroom sink (that the AC unit condenses into?) It's the second time we have the issue, basically because we should have followed the instructions to put bleach with hot water down the drain monthly. In December 2019, I called Wedgeworth for a water pressure problem. James believed the problem was with the water meter and recommended I call the city to replace the meter. I appreciate that he tried to save me money by blaming the meter before suggesting a plumbing repair, however I spent over two months dealing with the City about changing the meter. Meanwhile, other plumbers said the pipe “riser” leading to the house needed to be replaced. In the middle of arguing with the City about the meter, I asked James to replace the pipe riser. This immediately restored my water pressure. I initially posted a 5 star review for this job, mainly because James asked me to post a review, and he seems sincere and honest and ultimately did a good job replacing the pipe and the main shutoff valve. Then, this January I called Wedgeworth about leaky faucets in my shower. It wasn’t a particularly bad leak, but the tile floor was constantly damp, making the grout mildew. James replaced both faucets without going into the access panel. From the beginning, the faucets were extremely stiff, my needing both hands to turn them on and off. I assumed they would loosen after they’d been used, but that didn’t happen. Then, I noticed the shower floor was still damp, and after a couple months, the leak became worse, so I called Wedgeworth and they sent James to assess the problem. He told me they would need to replace the separate hot and cold faucets with a single faucet unit, and that would cost about $700. When I asked if the $272 I already paid could be applied toward that job, he said they could discount it by 5%, but he would need to ask his boss if they could give a larger discount and he would get back to me in a day or two. When I didn’t hear from James, I phoned the office and left a message for Sean (the owner), to call me “because I had a question”. Sean didn’t return my call, so after a week I sent him an email asking for his opinion on the faucet problem. He never did get in touch with me, so I called a couple other plumbers as well as my handyman for their opinions. They all agreed that changing the faucets, without also changing the compatible valves, wouldn’t fix the problem. My 70 year old handyman was confident he could do it, so he replaced the faucets and valves with Pfister hardware, which carries a lifetime warranty. Now, though I needed to pay twice for the same job, I finally have a dry shower floor and new faucets which work perfectly. Needless to say, I’ll never call Wedgeworth Plumbing again.

I have been using Wedgeworth Plumbing for 7 years now. Still batting 1000. It was nice to have a simple repair, with a simple solution for a simple price. My other past services were emergencies and they came out in less than an hour on one of them. They have repaired my water heater and it still going 5 years after repair. They have changed out some sort of "plug" in 2 of our showers to stop the heads from dripping and so my point is they are very broad in terms of available skill sets and services. I had been having clogged drain problems for about a year, and I had Wedgeworth visit my home. The second time they came, I asked them to run a camera to find the source of the blockage. They determined a section of my pipe needed to replaced and they marked the pipe location and estimated the length to replace. The job was going to be $3250, but they agreed to discount the cost of the snake and camera ($450 off).The next day they arrived to replace the pipe, and were unwilling to honor the $450 off. I started calling other plumbers and quickly found another plumber (Beacon) that was willing to do the job for $2560. Wedgeworth offered to honor the discounted price, but I cancelled the job with them. When Beacon arrived, they ran a camera to confirm the job details and found that Wedgeworth had incorrectly marked the pipe location. See attached photo. Wedgeworth would have dug in the wrong place.I finished the job with Becon Plumbing and was very pleased with their work. I wish I had called them first. I could have saved an extra $450 and the headache of dealing with Wedgeworth. Beacon did not charge extra for the camera either--it was included in the job.

Before calling Wedgeworth Plumbing, I had two other plumbers tell me that clearing my slow-drain tub would require costly work. Specifically, I was told I would need to install a clean-out access, which would take 2 or 3 days. Wedgeworth sent 2 plumbers, who recommended taking a simpler approach, after explaining the pros and cons. They worked on running a line to clear the blockage and within half an hour had cleared the drain. Their bill matched the estimate I was given before they started the work and was very reasonable. Also, they were very professional, arrived on time, and sent appointment reminders. I will highly recommend them to every family member or friend that needs a plumber!

I'd had an exterior faucet and intake pipe and valve on my studio workshop had been damaged and had to be replaced. TJ and his associate were wonderful! I was impressed with their knowledge and professionalism and that they took the time to explain what they needed to do before they started. While they did have to turn off the water to my house, they first installed a new shutoff valve to my studio building and had the water to my house back on faster than I'd expected! Instead of removing my siding, they removed my interior pedestal sink to access the area very carefully cutting out the sections of drywall. When they were done I was able to set the pieces back in tape and float the area with minimal work. Once it was dry they bolted and caulked my sink in place and cleaned everything up inside as well as insulated and taped the exterior pipes. I was also extremely impressed with their attention to detail as well as how personable they were, answering any questions I had. I would not hesitate to call on Wedgeworth again for any plumbing needs or to recommend them to anyone looking for a top company to take care of any plumbing issues at a great price!

James came out on Monday and gave a free estimate to replace a cartridge for the bathtub. He came back early Tuesday morning to fix it and also service our tankless hot water heater. My experience with Wedgeworth was all anyone could wish for from scheduling the appt, to availability that was attentive to my needs, to courtesy call prior to arrival, to the two reps who took care of my appt. Both were extremely professional, courteous, and generous to allow me to ask questions and get assistance in knowing how to deal with any unexpected issues as we head to the pending artic front. Both men were so kind to help instill a comfort level in me making sure my preparations are on track to be prepared for the unexpected. Would definitely recommend and would use Wedgeworth again.

TJ was professional and amiable. He was able to locate the frozen cpvc pipe burst with minimum intrusion. Upon completion, he performed a whole house check to make sure everything was up and running. Wedgeworth Plumbing has my business!

Always professional and friendly, but pricey. A very small crack in external tap assembly post freeze. $345 to replace... (I supplied my own $150 part). Disappointed the balance of the old assembly wasn't left with me for spare parts.

I have been using Wedgeworth for years - before it was sold to the current owner. It doesn’t feel as personal as it used to with Mr. Wedgeworth but that is ok. They came out for a faucet repair and they were able to get out here quickly and fix the problem which I really appreciated. My only issue is the receipt did not have a good breakdown of the costs. Just one big number. I would like to know parts and labor costs as well as how much they charged me for taking away the ice maker that caused my problem. All in all, i received good polite service. The invoice breakdown would be the extra information that would be helpful for my records.

We were driving on 45 going SB going to drop our children off at school and one of their trucks pushed us into the emergency lane he was driving at least 80 MPH. The truck # is 107 I did call the number on the truck and a lady told me that she would let the owners know. So beware because if these drivers are what represent this company that is not good!

**See Update** The personnel were on-time, polite and left the area clean after installing a new wax ring; however, after they left, the tank ran constantly and I waited a week for someone to come complete the adjustment and was charged for the follow-up. Also, I asked for a callback from the second visit to explain the charges and was never contacted. I have had several good experiences with the company, but this one was frustrating.***Update*** A person from the company followed up a week or so later. They called to apologize that the call had not been returned at the time and explained the work that was done. They also provided a partial refund. I was impressed that they cared enough to contact me to make things right. Will definitely use again.

My husband and I used Wedgeworth plumbing for a complete Pex installation and hot water heater installation. We were very happy when they made room for us on a Friday afternoon when our hot water heater went out. It was from that point we decided to get a quote for re-piping the house and getting rid of the galvanized pipe. The company as a whole from top to bottom did fantastic. They took the time to lay out the scope of work. Their attention to detail was awesome. I personally appreciated the clean up they did all the way down to vacuuming underneath the sinks. I’ve always felt that attention to detail would always allow the work to speak for itself. I had a plumber come out to my property to fix what looked to be a simple leak. Upon starting the job the he realized the problem was bigger than originally anticipated but he pulled out all the stops to get the job done. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything he was doing, very easy to talk to and very easy to get along with. Made me feel comfortable with the work getting done, and he persevered through the end of the day to make sure the leak was fixed and water was getting back into my house. TJ was a excellent plumber and the service was phenomenal. I'll be telling my HOA about the service and suggesting them as the go to plumbing service for our complex

Erica scheduled my appointment the same day I called. She also called me 20 minutes before the crew was to arrive at my house which was very helpful. Shawn and Austin were professional, courteous, knowledgeable, tidy, and efficient. They changed out my two gas hot water heaters. One was really corroded and they had to use 4 different methods to fully drain it out because there was so much build up clogging the drainage valve. I especially appreciated that Shawn took extra time to explain everything in detail so that I could avoid this problem in the future. I'm very satisfied with the customer service and workmanship. Would definitely recommend them!

Wedgeworth installed a Whole House Water Filtration system today. They had to run water lines along my house and did a wonderful job. Dee was so helpful and friendly! He and his partner worked into the night without complaint. Will definitely call them again for any other plumbing needs!

We did not even get passed go here. Called and said had moved into new construction and asked for a shower panel to be installed. The person who answered rather than ask clarifying questions responded: "we only do residential." Well duh, this is residential...no need to waste time with someone who won't ask clarifying questions. Maybe they have so much business that customer service does not matter! Beware!

Wedgeworth was recommended to us by a friend, and I continue to go to them. Their prices are usually a little higher, but they will actually fix your plumbing correctly. Our house is over 100 years old and has had bad plumbing done to it over the years, so if they’ll do it right, we’ll keep calling them.

I found this company through Moen’s website since we need to install a water shut off valve. I contacted 3 different companies and this is the one company that called immediately. Shawn and Mitchell (I think his name was Mitchell) came out to talk about the work with FloMoen’s shut off valve installation also giving estimates and also, kindly helped us with a lot of other things. They are very knowledgeable. We scheduled with Shawn and he came out to finish the work on a hot summer’s day, efficiently and all things are operational. So now, if the system detects a leakage then I can send a signal to turn off my main water by the FloMoen application! Not only this, he went above and beyond and looked at our sprinkler system and hose with cracks in it so in due time, we will contact for fixture. Thanks Shawn!! We will use WEDGEWORTH’s Plumbing service!!! 10/10

Nothing’s more frustrating than not being able to use your washing machine and sink because of a clog in your old home’s plumbing. I called Wedgeworth Plumbing around 3 pm on a Thursday, and they scheduled a plumber, TJ, for the next morning. His first try with the snake helped clear the sink, but the washing machine was still overflowing. Instead of giving up, TJ stayed an extra two hours to get everything working. I even found out you can snake the line from the roof—who knew? TJ was great about explaining what updates we should consider without pushing anything. I’ll think about those for the future, but for now, I’m just happy to have a working sink and washer again!

Quite an unusual experience from a consumer home services provider.The gents who came out to my house were prompt, knowledgeable, and courteous. Definitely good things, but these things should be table stakes for service providers. (I recognize that it is not, unfortunately.) Three things made these guys stand out.1) They took the time to listen and explain their rationale for their *recommendations* and *options* without pressure. Many plumbers take advantage of the fact that the consumer is usually stressed and emotionally compromised if things have gotten bad enough that they have to call for professional help. Even though my situation was not a plumbing emergency, I still felt that these guys were being deliberate about avoiding pressure. They're attitude was more like "let's find the best solutions for *you*" than "how can I maximize this month's sales bonus."2) They were more problem-solvers than repairmen. Rather than just propose "it'll be best if we just replace everything" (which is usually more profitable for them, especially when selling you items with egregious markups), these guys were willing to try different things to get to a satisfying outcome with the least amount of cost and risk. That takes a bit more thinking and creativity than manual labor. But the approach can save the customer money, and may even open them to spending more on other things because they've discovered new opportunities to add value. It may also mean that the customer spends less, but these guys seemed to be more concerned about maximizing value than maximizing sales.3) Flat-rate pricing. I don't imagine that they use flat-rate pricing for all situations, but they seem to use flat-rate pricing for many more common plumbing issues. This is great because you get a price (not an estimate) up front.I wish more folks ran their businesses like these guys. The high rating is well-deserved.

TJ did a great job on educating us on the issues we had in our bathroom. He guided us on a new toilet to prevent future issues. He also presented multiple options to where we felt like we were not 'sold' on one thing. We are happy with our decision and will continue to be long-term customers of Wedgeworth.
